Abstract

Stroke is a devastating neurological disease with a few therapeutic approaches. Despite the acute and prophylactic treatment options, novel effective treatments are required. The main limitation for effective treatment strategies to be developed is the presence of the blood–brain barrier. Targeted nanoparticulate treatment options may help to overcome this issue. This chapter deals with novel studies performed for targeted drug delivery technologies for stroke.
