dc.description.abstract | In recent years, there has been great interest in the application of wavelet analysis in a variety of disciplines to investigate the characteristics of chaotic systems. The scale index is a wavelet-based method introduced in 2010 that has been used effectively in determining the degree of aperiodicity, hence chaotic characteristics of a signal. In this chapter, we will discuss previous works involving Scale index method including our works. We will also mention some social and economic systems that this method can potentially be applied. | |
