Abstract
We discuss quantum entanglement and correlations of Bose condensed atoms using the notion of spin squeezing in spinor Bose-Einstein condensates. We describe quantum correlations that yield multiparticle and mode entanglement using the Gell-Mann realization of SU(3) symmetry. Single-spin squeezing in the spin subgroups and two-spin squeezing due to correlations among spin subgroups are described. In addition, we explore the quantum phase-number fluctuations. Taking into account the breaking of global gauge and rotational symmetries in the system, stability of the ground state and the spin direction are discussed.
