dc.description.abstractCrimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a fatal viral infection described in parts of Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and causes severe diseases in humans, with the reported mortality rate of 3-30%. The disease is caused by Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus. The virus is an enveloped, segmented, negative-strand RNA virus, and a member of the Nairovirus genus of the Bunyaviridae family.
