Abstract
Gallbladder is a relatively common specimen, but a significant proportion of cases present as clinically and grossly inapparent lesions, and grossing protocols are not well established. Also, pathologists are less familiar with specific diagnostic characteristics. As a result, it may become problematic when encountered in daily practice. In the following section, clinical and pathological characteristics of its non-neoplastic and neoplastic lesions will be discussed.
