dc.description.abstractWe present THz measurements on fifteen solvated alkali halide salts using narrow band THz absorption and broad band THz Fourier transform spectroscopies in order to shed new light on the controversy of salts as kosmotropes (structure breakers) or chaotropes (structure makers).
