dc.description.abstractThis paper provides an overview of the development of closed-form Green's functions in planar multilayered structures, with an emphasis given to the discrete complex image method (DCIM). In addition to the review of the materials in the literature, the latest developments on DCIM and its applications to artificial materials are also discussed.
