İleri Evre Endometrium Kanseri Tedavisi

Abstract

Endometriyal kanser, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde en sık görülen jinekolojik malignitedir. Endometrioid karsinom, endometriyal karsinomun ve genel olarak uterin malignitenin en yaygın histolojik tipidir. Hastalığın devam etmesi veya tekrarlama riski düşük olan hastalar için genellikle tek başına cerrahi tedavi edicidir. Orta veya yüksek riskli hastalığı olan hastalar adjuvan tedaviden fayda görebilir. İlerlemiş endometriyal kanserli hastaların prognozu, sınırlı terapötik seçeneklerle birlikte kötüdür. İleri evre endometriyal kanser için hedef tedaviler, immünoterapi ve hormonal tedaviler gibi yeni terapötik yaklaşımlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bölüm, ileri evre endometriyum kanseri için tedavi seçeneklerini tanımlamayı amaçlamaktadır.

Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecologic malignancy in developed countries. Endometrioid carcinoma is the most common histologic type of endometrial carcinoma and of uterine malignancy overall. Surgery alone is usually curative for patients who are at low risk of disease persistence or recurrence. Patients with intermediate- or high-risk diseases may benefit from adjuvant therapy. The prognosis of patients with advanced endometrial cancer is poor, with limited therapeutic options. New therapeutic approaches such as target therapies, immunotherapy, and hormonal therapies have emerged for advanced-stage endometrial cancer. This chapter aims at describing the treatment options for advanced-stage endometrial cancer.
