dc.description.abstractOptical antennas have been quite instrumental in manipulating light in subwavelength scales, and mainly inspired by and drawn from the design of RF antennas, such as dipole, bow-tie and Yagi-Uda antennas. Considering this significant resemblance of optical antennas to their RF counterparts, it has been demonstrated that the computational tools of patch antennas in RF, namely the cavity model, can be employed with some modifications in the optical regime.
