dc.description.abstractWe report, for the first time to our knowledge, continuous-wave operation of a Tm3+:BaY2F8 laser near 2.3 µm for two orthogonal pumping orientations, resulting in a broad 152-nm tuning range from 2233 to 2385 nm.
