Endocrine disruptor chemicals (EDCs) and their metabolites can interfere with the endocrine system of the organisms. EDCs can be classified as natural and synthetic chemicals. EDCs can enter the body's airways, skin, placental, and breastfeeding according to their chemical properties. diverse cellular functions and alter the functions of the endocrine system, nervous system, reproduction system, and immune system and cause adverse health effects on the metabolism of the organism. Metabolic-disrupting chemicals, neurological disruptors, reproductive disruptors, vascular disruptors, and immune disruptors molecules can be classified under the subgroup of EDCs and cause various diseases and disorders. All these chemicals can mimic the body's natural molecules can act as receptor antagonists or agonist molecules in many cellular major metabolic pathways, are involved in the energy production and utilization of the organisms, epigenetic alteration, signal transduction, receptor expression, hormone clearance, distribution, synthesis, transport and are involved in biochemical and physiological processes. Nowadays, EDCs can be detected by HPLC and gas chromatography methods. These exogenous compounds and their metabolites concentration must be determined via in vitro diagnostic assays. Determination of EDC via in vitro diagnostic testing, and detection in a normal routine biochemistry laboratory in the body fluids for instance blood, serum, plasma, urine, tear, spinal fluid, saliva, smear, amniotic fluid, cervical mucus, sperm, wound leakages, liquid biopsies, follicular fluid, pleural effusion, and sweat will be solve many health problems and opens the door of protect consumers from unhealthy cosmetic, and brings the discussions of water, food, air safety managements and standards.
