Abstract

It is with great pleasure that we introduce the second edition of "Radiation Oncology: A MCQ and Case Study-Based Review."Many favorable responses to the first edition encouraged us to update and advance the text thoroughly reviewing and updating to include the latest AJCC eighth edition complementing our "2022 Basic Radiation Oncology 2nd edition" textbook.MCQs along with explanatory answers and case study-based questions in this textbook will encourage the readers to read the texts more thoroughly. The MCQs are considered a "great" revision tool as they support examinees' study for exams.Cancer is a highly complex subject, and it is impossible to fit it into a simple mathematical formula or "p" value. Therefore, we must not throw away experiencebased data during our clinical decision-making procedures. We extend our most sincere gratitude to Professor Mehmet Ali Glelik, the Vice Rector of the University of Health Sciences, Trkiye, as well as to our families for their understanding as we worked to meet our publication deadlines.
