dc.description.abstractBy using a Cr2+:ZnSe sample with reduced reabsorption losses and by employing intracavity pumping inside a 1570-nm KTP optical parametric oscillator, we demonstrated ultrabroad tuning of a gain-switched Cr2+:ZnSe laser between 1880 and 3100 nm. © 2006 Optical Society of America.
