dc.description.abstractThis study describes a novel route for incorporation of polymers onto silica particle surfaces to prepare polymer/silica nanocomposites. Photoinduced formation of ketene functionalities at the polystyrene chain ends offers possibility of such ligation through ketene chemistry.
