In this study, we present media-based modulation with golden angle modulation (GAM-MBM) scheme as a new solution to this fractional bits problem by using symmetrical structure of golden angle modulation (GAM). We present a comprehensive overview of the fractional bits problem in spatial modulation (SM) and media-based modulation (MBM) and we show that the proposed scheme can be considered as a candidate for the next generation technologies with its versatile structure, which can be easily integrated into various concepts.
