dc.description.abstract67-fs pulses with an average power of 300 mW and pulse repetition rate of 120 MHz were obtained from a diode-pumped Cr3+: PLiCAF laser. A semiconductor saturable absorber mirror enabled stable and self-starting mode-locked operation.
