| dc.description.abstract | To conduct a Turkish validity and reliability study of the Post–Intensive Care Syndrome Questionnaire Scale. METHODS: In this methodological study, the sample included 149 patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit who were discharged at least 4 weeks and 1 year ago. In the Turkish adaptation of the questionnaire, confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses were conducted to assess language, content, and construct validity. A test–retest was used for intraclass correlation analysis, and Cronbach’s alpha was used for internal consistency analysis in the reliability analyses. RESULTS: The survey’s language validity was assessed by expert linguists. The Content Validity Index was calculated as 0.96. The item-total score correlation coefficients ranged between r = .381 and .686. Spearman’s Rho coefficients indicated significant correlations (r = .981; p < .001). The root mean square error of approximation (0.097), Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index (0.75), Goodness of Fit Index (0.81), and Comparative Fit Index (0.94) showed a good fit. The Cronbach alpha was 0.90. CONCLUSION: The Turkish version of Post–Intensive Care Syndrome Questionnaire, with 18 items, was valid and reliable. Assessing post-intensive care syndrome in intensive care patients after discharge is suggested in practice. Cite this article as: Kebap.ı, A., & Yal.ın, B. (2026).
