Abstract
The author would like to correct the following errors in the original version of the published article.1 • In the last paragraphs of both Sec. IV B (on p. 044503-15) and Sec. IV C (on p. 044503-16), it was erroneously stated that the self-sustaining oscillator (SSO) scheme suffers from detection noise amplification. In fact, the amount of amplification is simply unity, as given in Eq. (59) (on p. 044503-9), which can be substituted in Eq. (61) (on p. 044503-9), Eq. (69) (on p. 044503-14), and Eq. (72) (on p. 044503-15), as well as in Fig. 9 (on p. 044503-14). Thus, the SSO scheme does not suffer from detection noise amplification. The last paragraph of Sec. IV B below Eq. (72) (on p. 044503-15) should be replaced with the sentence: “We observe that all schemes have the same accuracy performance.” The first sentence of the paragraph above Eq. (73) (on p. 044503-15) should be updated as follows: “Detection noise in the FF and SSO schemes is simply filtered by the low-pass filter HL(s) in the IQ demodulator.” The last two sentences of Sec. IV C (on p. 044503-16) starting with “On the other hand,” should be removed. • On p. 044503-8, just above Eq. (55), e jθd (t) 1 þ θd(t) should be corrected as e jθd (t) 1 þ j θd(t). We apologize for any confusion these errors may have caused. The corrections do not affect the derivations, other discussions, and conclusions in the original paper.
