Abstract

This chapter provides a thorough analysis of robotic right hemicolectomy, focusing on the advantages, operative technique, and outcomes while also underscoring the significance of total mesocolic excision as the most dependable way of managing colon cancer. Robotic surgery possesses numerous benefits compared to conventional surgery. The procedure entails making smaller cuts, utilizing specialized tools, and achieving higher levels of accuracy. Consequently, there are reductions in tissue damage, blood loss, infection rates, and the duration of the recovery period. The chapter offers an elaborate description of the surgical method, including patient preparation, indications, positioning, and the use of the advanced da Vinci platform. © 2025 SAGES.
