Abstract
Although standards exist for pediatric oncology units (POUs) in high‐income countries, their applicability in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs) remains limited. Therefore, SIOP led a multidisciplinary global expert group to develop a practical, scalable, implementable, and evidence‐informed standards framework for POUs in LMICs. These standards prioritize key areas of practice, including infrastructure, clinical care practice, medication safety, research, and multidisciplinary coordination, with the aim of reducing variation and advancing equitable care. This work aligns with the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer's goal of achieving 60% survival by 2030.
